wtf are you even doing loving with stuff

You were told you don't have a problem, and you were told how to fix it if you still insist it is a problem
"Take your CPU cooler off" was not in anyone's list of solutions

i was dusting out the heatsink

i was dusting out the heatsink
You don't take it off for that
Taking it off means all the dust your blowing around lands on the CPU's thermal grease and make it less effective

ok so CPU is ok but the PSU just destroyed itself for some reason
I know this because I tried the old PSU and it worked
so wtf

its working now
i plugged in something that shouldnt have been plugged in
weird how that works in reverse

Setro, you're not a computer person, are you?

chances are if you plug in something that wasn't before and it works

then it needs to be plugged in

i used to keep my pc case open and have a deskfan aimed at my GPU when its built in one failed, worked pretty good.

OT: looks like your problem is resolved?
