Masterlegodude is right about this

The Blockland Forums have had bad experiences with alts

We're all a bit paranoid it seems

i like to think that we're like a town under lockdown and our greeting party for new people is a jeep full of armed soldiers

I don't normally say this because it makes me sound like a jerk, but I'm honestly gonna call alt on this one
mostly this

but if your actually new welcome to hell

i like to think that we're like a town under lockdown and our greeting party for new people is a jeep full of armed soldiers

*Vrm vrm*

"Is that...a jeep?"

GET ON THE GROUND!! DON'T MOVE! DON'T TALK! WHY ARE YOU HERE? HAVE YOU BEEN HERE BEFORE? SHOW US YOUR IDENTIFICATION! YOU BETTER HAVE MORE IDENTIFICATION! YOU DON'T HUH??! READY YOUR GUNS MEN!

Wait! Guys! He's with me!

Oh. Ok. Uh, do we still shoot him?

No, he's a chill dude.

Ah. Praise be to our lord badspot!

*vrm vrm*

alt.
nobump:
I just got a wild idea

What if instead of straight up accusing new people of being alts and making them feel uncomfortable we ask badspot? I dunno just seems like a crazy idea.
That's the loving worst idea I've ever heard. Go back to the drawing board

doesn't seem like an alt to me, too friendly and obviously somewhat clueless (no offense op)

welcome to blf! no, we do not spam memes and the community is generally nice if you're nice to them. we have some of our own inside jokes that you'll come to learn, and it's always nice to see new people. here's some tips tho:

  • Don't spam useless threads. - A big problem most new users make is creating a ton of useless, ambiguous threads that usually are about "oh I stubbed my toe lol" or "check out the new special doors lol" or "lol you can paint people", most of us really dislike this because it pushes more useful threads down, and seeing the front page of a forum being cluttered with stupid titles is usually annoying.
  • Don't act like a jerk/idiot. - While some people on these forums can come off a tad mean, acting like a senseless jerk is usually a stupid idea. You don't go to a new workplace or school and instantly start calling everyone an idiot.
  • Don't senselessly bash users. - While some of us don't care, bashing users all the time for their minor mistakes is just dumb. People like swampivorious (which you'll get to know soon) like to constantly bash the new users + some problem users, because he thinks it's cool. Protip: it's not. Unless you're joking (in which swampivorious never is, he posts an insult to users like MoltenKitten every thread) don't do it.
  • Try not to get involved with the drama boards - act mature. - This means when you get banned from a server, don't go running to the drama boards with no evidence and cry about how you were unfairly banned (when you really were breaking half of the server rules but you're just denying it)

so have fun at the blf, you're here forever.

Welcome, whoever's alt you are.
if you screw up, the community will run to you with flamethrowers and pitchforks. and i learned that the hard way.
