Author Topic: how does blockland perform on a gtx 970 ( with shaders )  (Read 1549 times)

i dont care which model because they close enough
someone here must have one
someone must know

It runs pretty good.

it performs very well all around

I have a 620 and max runs pretty smooth, a bit choppy on larger brickcounts. No doubt a 970 would work.

My GTX 750 SC runs max shaders at 60fps, only on extreme brick counts does it ever go down but I think with maybe even something a little higher than that will do better.

One note is that Blockland will not use the full 4GB of Vram on the GTX 970 (or 3.5GB mind you) and will crash around 2.75GB of Vram usage.

Sure sucks Blockland is 32-bit.

With the vanilla shaders on a 970 I consistently get 120+ fps and I can even enable AA in the nvidia control panel without issues. If you want you can disable the AA and use performance shaders which look nicer than the vanilla shaders instead and you should still get at least 80+ fps most of the time.

i never go below 30 on max
shaders mod ultra does about 10 fps though on small maps
performance and high are fine on it

at least 60 fps on max shaders on a gtx 960
with AA it gets pretty low though, on some builds

It's always above 60fps unless you're on some wicked terrain like the block party.

How are you guys getting a lower fps with AA on, on my old AMD HD6670 turning on AA for Blockland would double the fps and on my GTX 750 SC it does the same thing.

Without AA I would get around 70-75 fps and with AA on I easily get around 80-90fps, what kind of sorcery is going on here, isn't AA supposed to cause a lower fps due to the increased quality?

Nary a framerate drop even in the harshest of projectile spam.

Considering my 650-Ti runs it at a playable framerate most of the time alas 30 fps or higher on max. I believe a 970 would be able to perform really well on max.

basic this
my experience with the 970 and blockland is fantastic, i'm usually able to run most stuff in performance soft shaders at 60 fps
