Time color

Author Topic: Time color  (Read 968 times)

I made a thing to convert a timestamp to a hex color.
It converts a date (if given) or will convert the current time to a unix timestamp, converts it to base 16, and grabs the last 6 digits to use as a color.

http://timecolor.theblackparrot.us/

If you want to specify a time (like your birthday or something), add a time variable in the URL, like so:
http://timecolor.theblackparrot.us/?time=9/27/96
http://timecolor.theblackparrot.us/?time=9/27/96 12:01 AM

*Note it may vary depending on your timezone, that is taken into account.

this just in: the color purple, now banned in the united states
It was green for me. :O

I was about to try doing this in excel for fun, but the base function is only in newer versions.

Man, I thought that it would be something that changes the time stamp on my desktop to a specific color.
That'd be a neat.

Sounds like something that can be done through Rainmeter if it has Lua support.
