Author Topic: Google is now owned by Alphabet  (Read 1961 times)

Official release on Google's blogspot.

Google's CEO has decided to start a new company called "Alphabet", which will be parent to Google and all of its subsidiaries. Larry Page will become CEO of Alphabet, while Sundar Pichai will take over being CEO of Google.

As should have been expected, the URL and Twitter accounts are already taken. For the URL, Google have decided to go with http://abc.xyz. If it works, it works I guess.

And no, this isn't a late April Fools.

i thought google owned google?
wtf

They probably just want an excuse to keep google (the search engine) as a seperate service to all their other innovations.

Oh great, now I cant day the alphabet without getting sued.
Great? I guess.
