powerdag began as a joke from when i was 12 and an idiot and made a guy with white hair who looked like a toy robot with the head of an action figure who was named, who else,
dag. it stuck ever since and i used it right up until about 2012
around that time i became a snide twat and changed my blockland name to niobium because of
the metal of the same name, which turns a blue colour when it oxidises. i was one of
those people who thought element names were cool and unwittingly upheld the idea that all people with element names have a stick jammed up their ass (i've yet to see one that didn't)
eventually i joined a lot of forum roleplays and people took notice of the habit i had at the time of naming all my characters after colours. i was starting to get out of the "element-named douchebag" phase and i could self-deprecate as a joke without feeling like i was actually losing my dignity, and at the time people were teasing me about having a "colour special interest" (i think this was in taya's old special interest thread). something in my head clicked and twisted it around into chromomania, which i now use for almost everything today.
DrUnusual was a synonym of dr. strange. who woulda thought. i used that name on my wii u, but it broke and to this day i don't know what caused it. i got a new one and discovered that miiverse accounts can't be unlinked from systems (at least without requiring the linked system itself), so i named the second account ReturnofUnusual (self-explanatory).
homogaynia has only been used once on a bootleg OMGPOP server and it appeared after a long time of being called "powercigarette" and "homomania" to which i responded by self-deprecating further by one-upping them.
actuallychromomania came about from trying to register on dumblr and discovering i'm apparently not the only guy who goes by chromomania out there. so now there's a guy who's (probably accidentally) posing as me and writing actually rather stuffty music lyrics.
