rustbell's skin also does not have combo colors, follow points (neither of which i play with), but most of all it has no easy to see slider ball (as in, with a nice little big circle outline rather than a literal ball) which makes me wonder how in the forget he can follow sliders that aren't consistent in speed
also it's incredibly hard to see when you were inaccurate while playing with it which annoys me
Two entirely different matters? And I didn't think it was impossible, just that it wouldn't be feasible in a lot of situations. And it isn't, since I'm pretty sure you'd have difficulty finding more than 10 notable people who do it.
actually it's fairly popular on the top tier, perhaps not for every map ever (but there's still quite a lot of players whose only playstyle is tobe), but it works very well for really fast maps that require high streaming speeds
That's the purpose of the sound, I'm pretty sure. I think that's why a lot of players tend to use that "pop" sound I hate to eternal hell.
not rly sure what you're talking about since you can't assign diff hitsounds to 300/100/50
in any case there's really no such thing as skins being good for competitive, cos top players tend to just use whatever they always played with for the most part
i mean a lot of them have moved to cookiezi's skin because it is very simple, but there's a lot of them that still use whatever weird as forget thing they used to use and they're still hella good
i mean look at hvick he still uses slider ends and just... idk his skin really does not seem optimal at all
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f7kuh_xz8qMand there's the people that still use default osu skin and do better than everybody else by far which is just spoopy (
see: riviclia)
my conclusion from this is just that "competitive" skins isn't really a thing in osu tbh
