Get out side and walk
Cramps you get while running are usually the result of poor breathing technique. You should look into that.

Hi Boltster!

you're supposed to breathe differently when you run???

both. i want people to notice it so i don't seem like such an easy target.
This will take a long time. And as it seems in the position that you are in, it may take longer.
But i have to say one thing
Don't loving quit because its hard.

Nose in mouth out, it helps keep your mouth and nose from drying pit and making breathing hurt

if i really want something, i don't quit.

Of course, when you do different activities you're suppose to breath a certain way. If you breath normally while running then your body isn't getting the oxygen it needs. It's like a computer basically, the harder you push it the more electricity (oxygen in your case) it needs.

Hi Boltster!
hey bud!

if i really want something, i don't quit.
So what are your first steps then? What are you doing towards achieving your goal?

You're in a pretty good position to be absolutely jacked by the time you're 20 with a bit of effort.

my uncle was in the military so i think i first will ask him for some of the stuff they did in pt and for working out. he was forgetin' buff when he came back.

they turn out like that cause in the military you're pretty much forced to get strong. iirc they start you off on a 5 mile run every morning or something to that effect, on top of general fitness activities. I figure you either don't have the time or the commitment to do that every day. Just start walking around, go places and then go back. From what you've said, you have significant trouble just walking long distance which means you really ought to get walking on a leash first.

And seriously, really, actually work on your diet. All that exercise wont do you any good if you're running soda and poptarts.

i like lifting and stuff more than i do walking. my leg muscle game is good because school gym and marching band.

also boltster, weren't you that guy who did all the lifting and stuff? can you give me some things to do with 10 lb dumbbells?

lift with your legs
also afaik a jogging regimen is good for keeping your body healthy in general

Yep and yep

Step 1. Put the dumbbells down and join a gym
Step 2. Pick between Stronglifts 5x5 or Starter Strength and start
Step 3. ???
Step 4. Gains

In all seriousness though, you won't be able to do much with those dumbbells. Gaining muscle mass is all about diet and progressively increasing what you lift. The programs I mentioned have a good progression.

The military workout plan will get you good at running for 10 miles and doing 100 pushups. It's not going to get you strong or particularly ripped.

i stopped eating fast food and junk food about a week ago. i actual food for meals instead of processed stuff.

also, i don't know if i have time to join a gym, i go to school 7 - 2:30, and then work 5 - 8, then homework.
