Author Topic: I have an important decision to make  (Read 3218 times)

I am moving and have a choice between 2 schools. The school I pick affects the house I will live in. I can either go with the higher rated school but then I have to share a room with my brother or the lower rated school but I get my own room. The problem I have with the lower rated school is the race ratio. I am not tribal but I think I woukd feel uncomfortable being the minority, not to mention I have tourettes and I am afraid of saying something offensive. Which should I choose?

Tl;dr: Big house bad school or small house great school?

might as well go with the good school
is sharing a room with your brother that bad?
like, is he going to annoy you/you annoy him with your lifestyles?

Small house good school

The room is a temporary inconvenience. The school is a life-changing thing

My brother is 6 and he already shares a room with me, he never leaves me alone. I have to share my playstation with him and he always uses it. He also has a habit of waking me up.

go to the better school
if he uses your playstation, use your computer instead?
only issue is the waking up, but how does he do that? if it's the playstation noise you could have him mute it and what not

I don't have my own computer. As for waking me up he runs up to my bed and starts jumping on me.

Go for the good school.
Even if you didn't share a room your brother would still find ways to annoy you and wake you up.

Reminds me of a doujin

Except you have a brother instead of sister

go for the big house. it's truly nice to have a place of your own to retreat to after a long day.

Big house, school doesn't even matter that much until you get to college.

It's less about what the school could provide for me and more about the race mix. I am not tribal but I would feel uncomfortable being the minority.

is this another thing you pulled out of your arse

Hey I don't blame you. I have a lot a black friends from basketball and stuff but it would be impossible for me to fit into their culture.

No I have Tourettes, Adhd, and depression. Unfortunately noone here knows me personally and could vouch for me nor do I know where my medical records are so it is really up to you to believe me.

I mean it's understandable that you'd want to be in a school where you could fit in better. I know what it's like being the only white guy in the room and how awkward it can be.

With that said, the latter option would probably be a better choice. I've also had to share rooms before with somebody younger than me and it was annoying
