Author Topic: How to make static maps?  (Read 738 times)

I want to know... How do I make static maps? The thread just gives you some maps... It doesn't say how to make them.
(Wondering what I'm talking about? Go find the static maps addon. It brings back the Bedroom, which I haven't seen, so I don't care about it that much. But I want to be able to build my own maps for it and don't know how.)

To create a static map takes practice and patience.

You will need download the latest version of Blender.

Then install and extract this plugin to blender http://forum.blockland.us/index.php?topic=281071.0

If you don't know how to use blender then watch a tutorial online.

Thanks, now I can delete the old .DTS file exporter! (I was trying to make custom bricks. It won't show up in the list, and I gave up for now.)
I actually have a tutorial that I got through steam that says how to make TF2 props/hats.
So, static maps are just .DTS files?

Yes, they are made with multiple of static shapes (DTS).
