Author Topic: This, honestly, is very handicapped.  (Read 533 times)

For weeks, I've been trying to host a blockland server.
For some reason, before I got a lot of addons, my server was fine. Then It screwed up.
No one could join my server, because it keeps saying It's connecting to an Ip, then sends challenge request. Then it times out.
People say I need to remove the firewall if have for blockland, which is handicapped because I disabled my firewall completely.
Also, DOESN'T BLOCKLAND PORT FOWARD FOR YOU? I swear to god, this has to be the most handicapped answer I get. "You need to port forward blockland."
Without saying how.

This community makes me gag how I posted about 3 threads like this yet no one answers.

first
blockland does support UPnP, however it isn't very reliable and can sometimes not work
if you want to know how to port forward, go to portforward.com, search your router, select blockland as the game and follow the instuctions.

how do I know what my router is?

how do I know what my router is?
Ask your parents, they might know, I know of two, which is broadband and dial-up, you can select those.

This attitude doesn't help.

Did you attempt this tutorial yet? http://blockland.us/portforward/
You can probably skip the part about adding an exception in windows settings. Just generally follow the steps for changing the router settings.

I'm only using this method because of how rude you were.

if you're sure you have UPnP, but blockland is being fickle with it, you could try port mapper
worked wonders for me for hosting ARK, since I realized UPnP was enabled on the router (since blockland was working on and off), but currently am unable to port forward
so this manually opens the ports through UPnP
