Sweden announces that they have illegalized the act of torture in any way, shape or form to prevent the violation of human rights, albeit they also announce that they are planning on giving the citizens of Sweden more rights.
"Beginning from today, the government of Sweden hereby announces any officers of the law or government agents found using torture as a method to obtain information from possible suspects and/or citizens will be punished with a hefty fine alongside facing certain time in jail for their crimes, this is all done to prevent the rights of the people from being violated.
We understand that as the government and face of Sweden, it is our responsibility to provide adequate living conditions for the citizens of Sweden, and we are planning on doing so by raising the so called 'bar' by providing our citizens with the rights that we hope one day every human will have access to, these rights are, yet not limited to the following rights that are also now in effect:
- The right to true freedom of speech, to express one's opinions about whichever topic they wish to discuss without being shut down by any authority for said opinions.
- The right of equal employment opportunity, no matter what one's race, national origin or religion is, each human being deserves to be treated equal by being given the same wage as other workers and above all, not judged by the employer by their skin color, gender or religion.
- The right to privacy, every citizen of Sweden has the right to privacy in order to protect information on things such as their home, property, thoughts, feelings, secrets and identity.
- The freedom of thought, everyone has the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion; this right includes freedom to change one's religion or belief, and freedom, either alone or in community with others and in public or private, to manifest one's religion or belief in teaching, practice, worship and observance.
For now, this will be all we have to announce regarding the new rights we have given citizens and our ban on torture."
