where i went if you took off your mask you'd get punished by the firing squad where your friends get to shoot you from about 5 meters away for as many shots as you like. the paintballs are expensive though so you wouldnt waste much ammo

this, I've been shot in the face with a .68 caliber paintball gun at 305 km (190 mph) and it doesn't feel that great.

I went paintballing in 2012 and got forgeted up lol. Paintballs don't necessarily hurt, but they can, believe me. My friend brought his $150 gun which shot faster than I could imagine. I was one of the last on my team and he got me from around 20 feet away and hit me right under the kneecap. It broke the skin and bruised to a dark purple for a couple weeks. also don't buy paint grenades they really suck, mine exploded on me :(

one last thing, paintballs hurt more if they don't break when they hit your skin. depending on the size of the paintball, it can feel anywhere from a marble to a gumball hitting you.
