Forum idea: Warning system

This wouldn't get much attention in Suggestions, since that's mainly for BL itself.

I've wanted some kind of warning system to be implented into the forums. I have a idea on how it could work.

If a user breaks a rule, their post will be edited/removed and given a warning. You have 5 warnings until you are permanently banned.

Rules that do follow this system:
Ambiguous topics
No warez (by mistake)
Use search before posting a question
Think before you post
Do not flame
Do not crosspost

Rules that DON'T follow this system:
Do not post adult content
No warez (on purpose)
Do not plea for sympathy
Do not advertise other forums
No pyramid/referral schemes
No chain-letter style spam

Verified reports will also apply to this (verified as in approved/checked by Badspot or Rotondo).

Anyone else think this is a good idea?

I do understand it. He's asking for votebans and warnings, but I'm fine with how it is right now. Follow the rules and you won't get banned, whether it's flaming or advertising other forums.

That's a fairly pointless idea. Just report posts that you think break the rules and badspot will figure out whether the user should be banned or not.

I'd rather not have mob rule on the forum. Over moderation is worse than dealing with the occasional user when they decide to go haywire.

i think it would be funny to have an end of the year banning of the village idiot vote. the drama and complaining alone would make it worth it

Without Rotondo, Ephi, and Kompressor, Badspot is completely alone on the forums. By the way, if you were wondering why Rotondo is on the list, He only works on The Forgettable Dungeon.
