Not for ethernet.

Ethernet is a pretty good wireless fix for when wireless doesn't work

Apperently your pc can decide to turn of your wireless adapter if you use too much battery power.
Like honestly, who the forget came up with that idea? Fire the guy who came up with that

I know, well the thing is... Wireless works, except it constantly drops every 2 seconds

If the wireless isn't acting how it should it clearly doesn't work. Also you'd be surprised how shutting off the wireless adapter can save battery. Same with bluetooth and such.

WiFi consumes an excessive amount of battery.

I have my charger connect at all times so I honestly dont give a stuff if it uses "too much battery power"

How about we blame the guy who didn't turn it off?
It's part of default windows power settings

Even at max power saving settings, it should only do it if battery is low, so if your plugged in it shouldn't matter
