Nintendo, you've made poor decisions before, but this is one of the loving worst.

Also, if you don't know who PangaeaPanga is, he made the Item Abuse series and several other good ROM hacks.

Please note this is gonna effect other people who make good hacks as well.

Absolutely ridiculous.

Because apparently they assume you got it illegally just because you're using a ROM/emulator, even though you can backup those legitimately while owning the cartridge.

loving christ nintendo.

Out of all things, you chose to do this. This is going to backfire like hell, I guarantee it.

While Nintendo does have a right, and obligation, to protect its IP, acts like this show once how far behind Nintendo is in the online scene.


title seems a bit misleading, i don't think they care about speedrunning, they just don't want tool-assisted speedrunning out there

Does this in any way affect things relating to Super Mario Bros X, like contests and stuff?






I cannot begin to describe how stupid this is. Hopefully people will actually protest this decision instead of just forgetting about it like they do with most everything else.
