Author Topic: has anyone else had this issue with windows 10?  (Read 1159 times)

After recently updating to windows 10 I am extremely puzzled and irritated to the fact that my internet connection is being stuff on by windows 10. I noticed that my internet was really fast in windows 8 but now in 10 it is disappointing and I am connecting to a brand new Sky broadband router which doesn't make any sense, the connection keeps dropping, disconnecting or going back to normal speed. I am also annoyed with the bullstuff "no internet access" thing, this does not make any sense because you can't be connected and then have no access, does anyone else have any internet issues after updating to windows 10?

This sounds similar to my internet experience

Do you get 2 or 3 bars, including the little white dot on the bottom right, on your signal strength icon ()? Does Speedtest occasionally tell you that your ping, download and upload speeds are trash? Do certain games lag worse than others? If you ever troubleshoot your internet, does Windows say anything about not being able to connect to the default gateway?

This is all vital information as i've yet to actually suspect Windows 10 as being the possible cause of my internet problems

What the forget, I have the same problem.

What if you try going to the recovery menu, and return to Windows 7/8?

i haven't had any connection problems at all, even on w10 and on my friend's stuffe 1.5mbps wifi. have you tried calling your isp?

What i've had with windows 10 is that it connects to networks very slowly.
For example in win8 and 7 i could just open up my browser as soon as im logged in.

Now i need to wait about 5 minutes after logging in before a conncetion is estabilished correctly.

Ethernet masterrace. Never had a single problem with my network conectivity ever since I changed my switch.

alright this is really starting to piss me the forget off, the internet is loving stuff and is taking for ever to load sometimes. Yet again microsoft can't make a loving operating system perfectly without loving it up, loving microsoft cunts

Or maybe perhaps the manufacturer of your networking card isn't proving very good drivers?

Or you might just be a handicap?

Windows 10 is a highly complex bit of software that covers thousands of sub-systems and needs to be able to support a huge catalogue of hardware devices. They need to be able to perform a significant amount of functions while utilising only a tiny amount of processing time so many of your programs run "smoothly". Some of the worlds smartest minds are required to make the whole thing come together.

But because you (AND ONLY YOU) are having Internet problems, it's clearly the fault of a giant company whose entire product is focused on making a smooth, online-connected experience. And it absolutely effects everybody. And clearly they're cunts for letting you have the OS for free so you can bitch about your own incompetence.

You're a right tosser.

calm down sir
drink your tea

anyway my internet has been the same as always ever since I upgraded, so it's either your drivers or your ISP

When I upgraded, my wireless adapter (NETGEAR WNA3100) on my computer went to stuff. It would keep randomly disconnecting from the internet and I would have to keep unplugging it and plugging it back in, and then the next morning the internet was pretty much as slow as dial up. I did end up getting a new adapter (a linksys one) that works fine and didn't even require me to install any drivers.
