Change the file format, Its not working.
it's not working because SMF is garbage. save the image, then export it again with a bunch of different editors. if given the option, choose to save it with as little metadata as possible, because that seems to be what the forum software generally has a problem with
one of them will probably work eventually
but don't save it as a jpg because then it won't have any transparency

edit: joe's right, it works. I was assuming you got an error message. if you don't get an error message then there was no problem

IIRC pngs won't upload cause they're too huge or something. Just save it as gif to make it smaller and still retain transparency.

It worked for me.
Clear your cache.
I'm sorry but noob question;
What is a cache?

I'm sorry but noob question;
What is a cache?
It's your browser storing data on web pages so that it can load pages faster.
It stored your older avatar and thinks that it is still the current one. Clearing your cache would force your browser to download the new one from the server.

It's e-currency
You're not helping.

ctrl+f5 (cleans cache for current webpage and then refreshes, i think) or just f5 (refreshes)
f5 worked fine for me

png is fine. my avatar is a png. but gif is trash
it's not a filesize issue. it's some weird bulljunk that the SMF developers won't fix bc their software is perfect and they never make any mistakes

idk what browser you're using, so just google "how to clear cache on [browser]" but replace "[browser]" with the name of whatever internet browser you're using

you can't ctrl+F5 on a phone
just refreshing might work sometimes, but for real clearing your cache is guaranteed to work

It wasn't the cache is was the image, converted to JPG
enjoy it in all its glory

first of all, jpegs literally don't support transparency. second, your avatar is still a png anyway, and still transparent
third, it's the cache
