Author Topic: Would using a different ROM fix hotspots?  (Read 477 times)

I manually updated my LG G2 (D800) to 5.0.2. I'm on T-Mobile's network, and hotspots don't work.

Would using something looking Cyanogen Mod fix this?

What exactly do you mean by manually update?
The LG G2 received the 5.0.2 update from carriers a while back ago. If you are saying you flashed an updated rom on your phone, it is possible the rom you flashed was not without bugs. I advise doing a factory reset on the phone and hope it fixes your hotspot problem. It's also possible T-Mobile's hotspots are buggy or are having intermittent issues/outages.

It's not T-Mobile. I had a Moto G on the same network before, and hotspots worked just fine.

I have the AT&T unlocked G2, so only these models on AT&T's network actually got the 5.0.2 update. I rooted my phone and installed the update myself. Same exact version, just done manually.

Bump

I have a tablet that I take places and I want to use my phone's hotspot so I have internet everywhere. D:
