ubuntu completely loving up for literally no reason and having 4 people that have used linux for 10+ years not even being able to tell me whats wrong

My Surface Pro has encountered screwed up RAM chips, in which I am not wasting my time getting that fixed.

My Lenovo Y500 got a 250Gb 850 Evo from my 06 Mac Pro and instead that got the 750Gb WD Black I bought originally for my laptop, then the laptop as well has a forgeted up display panel which causes it to turn off and back on and or get screwed up contrast in the blue range by merely moving the screen wrong in the slightest.

I need to buy a more portable laptop for school since I need battery life and less weight to move around easier.  Otherwise I haven't been having the greatest time with my plethora of stuff laying around.  I'm just hoping my laptop dies in some tragic way physically so I can just call in a claim via my personal articles policy on State Farm to replace this thing.

"Drop it" out the window!

This one time the IT guys at my college decided to set all the computers in the college to update during lunch and nobody could use any of the computers in the entire building because the updates were taking literally an hour to install.

I needed to finish an assignment during that lunch break that was due in that day.
(It didn't get done)

HAH, the pc's at my school are fast af
At my old high school they have really fast macs

years ago in my old school where we had laptops
we used to annoy eachover by typing random keys on other people's keyboards
someone next to me did it to my computer and suddenly music turned on
for some reason I couldn't turn it off so in fear I slammed the laptop shut and calmly put it back into the laptop storage thing
to this day I have no idea how music can turn on by slamming the keyboard

my hard drice straight up died today

to this day I have no idea how music can turn on by slamming the keyboard
Was there that top bar where the special buttons are? I have one on my keyboard of the play button and some of them could open music and start play some.
If not, then really I would not know why

I'm on my third desktop in my CIT class right now. I've only been in the class for a month and a half.

That is unless it is an HTC One dropped in a toilet, and the screen stops working while everything else is in perfect condition

Yeah that's Ubuntu for you. That's why I don't use it, it's the only distro of its kind that can completely screw itself up and create issues that nobody is able to fix, but that's kinda to be expected since Ubuntu is really just Debian's unstable branch patched to be 'more stable', thrown in with an awful GUI (Unity is terrible).

Debian/Red Hat (CentOS) if you want stability, Arch if you want bleeding-edge software with a rolling release, Gentoo if you're a madman
