Author Topic: Need a replacement for imgur  (Read 3048 times)

My school blocks imgur but I need to see some pictures for my community projects thread and I want to work on it in my free time. Also I don't like being advertised with imgurs hip and cool app and community cats memes space every time I go to look at my uploaded images

Puush?

like are you just uploading/need to host images?

yeah I just need an image hoster

My school blocks imgur
mine does too

https://imgur.com/signin, this redirects to your all images page when already signed in
or use ShareX
you could also upload them to upload@imgur.com as attachments, which is what I do at school: http://imgur.com/account/settings/activate

Puush?
this requires either their client or a program that uses its api, such as this ShareX custom uploader, and i'm not sure if OP is allowed to install programs on his school's computers
also all puush uploads are temporary (three months since last access)

nah, I don't want to use imgur at all anymore. I should of probably put replacement instead of alternative in the title

I don't want my images deleted

I don't want my images deleted
quite sure they're deleted after 5+ months of no views
I still have my first picture ever uploaded to puush yet a 1-2 month gap of no images because the ones imbetween were deleted for having no views, whilst the first one is active

anyway puush is mostly used for quickly taking a snapshot then automatically uploading

quite sure they're deleted after 5+ months of no views
I still want to keep them

quite sure they're deleted after 5+ months of no views
no, it's three.

'puush' will aim to preserve your uploads for up to to 3 months after 'last access'; where 'last access' is defined as the time of the last web request to the URL give at time of upload.

also I don't use puush on the forums, I only use it for quick sharing with a friend since they only get like one view anyway

i was gonna recommend this but I forgot what it was called

i don't use it myself due to no image management (since it doesn't use accounts), and i'd rather not have to bookmark every deletion link

Yeah, puush isn't really good for forums in general. Nothing pains me more than going into older threads and seeing a  bunch of dead images because the puush link expired.

I'll try this but if i would still like suggestions because I like accounts
