Author Topic: What Keyswitches are on your main KB? (Strawpoll)  (Read 3818 times)

It's not that you don't 'buy the best computer mech' - neither do I. I didn't know anything about keyboard switches before today either.

It's that you've got this arrogant attitude that somehow lends you to being surprised that people might know or be interested in things you're not aware of. It comes across even worse because you make absolutely no effort to even do a cursory search before you post here like they're talking about some form of black magic
Bingo.

How long have you been using that? I heard Kalih's non-razer switches start chattering after around six months.

...chattering? I mean I guess I'll wait like 5 more months to see if my keyboard starts talking to me

My Razer Deathstalker (essential) keyboard just arrived and it's super quiet which is exactly what I was after. it's definitely the most comfortable keyboard i've had so far.

Membrane/rubber dome stuffty keyboard with the PgUp and Down Keys in a vertical order. Sane with the other keys like home.

How come you used a strawpoll instead of the forum's built in poll feature?

Anyways my home keyboard has cherry browns.
Work computer is a cheap keyboard, probably rubber dome

Because I made the same poll for several communities and I was too lazy to copy all the options into the forums' poll system.

Double-typing, basically having a chattering T key might result in you typing "rettarded" instead of "handicapped".

Cherry browns because its what they had. Pretty much reds but with the tactile feeling. Can't stand noisy switches like Cherry blues.

Oh. I had that problem on my Razer Blackwidow Ultimate when I first got it years ago.

I enjoy the noise, in fact I took the o-rings out of my G710+ just so I had the extra noise (not the same but it's enough for me atm) without having the reset delay of a cherry blue.

im pretty sure i've got a membrane keyboard. this is a laptop though so i pretty sure thats basically a given. I haaaate using mechanical ones though, i just cant get it in my head that i need to lift my fingers to type
