Author Topic: Mr Man's Fallout Buildings  (Read 3025 times)

So with Fallout 4 coming up soon and me getting overly into the spirit, I've decided to recreate some of the common buildings in BL just for the fun of it.

First up is the "Small Ranch" houses from fallout 3

Pre-war

Altrenate pre-war version, with a similar pastel-blue color to the ones in Fallout 4 (feel free to repaint this as you wish, it looks good in most pastel colors)

The first fallout house I built, a year or two ago

Pre-war

"Rubble" version, as seen all around the Capital Wasteland, and in the shelled-out neighborhood by Nellis in NV

One of the common city buildings, more are on their way

Pre-war

Saves are below, they all use the default colorset and require wedges, slanted bricks, and vertical print plates. Use em for whatever you want, all are easily dupe-able

Coming Soon:
The other destroyed house model seen all over the wasteland
Red Rocket gas station
Poseidon gas station
Generic office/city buildings

Considering:
Billboards
Arefu
Tenpenny Tower
Prospector Saloon

Recommendations are welcome, but keep in mind that I'm trying to stay as close to default as I can, so things with weird angles like the GNR building, Megaton, or the Ultra-Luxe might not turn out as well if I do them.

Like what?
This one was a bit more difficult pre-war because we never actually saw one like that outside of a couple black-and-white concept art sketches

If I'm not mistaken, in the Fallout 4 trailer the houses were painted in a nice pastel blue colour. Perhaps you should try experimenting with pastel colours too.

I made a video once with a character named mr man and i had no idea you existed

nice house, too. I like the american cape-cod-like style it seems to have and the back porch area. also
Perhaps you should try experimenting with pastel colours too.

It just looks a little, weird. Maybe do what Barnabas said:

So I did try pastel colors and went with a similar shade to the fallout 4 houses. The reason I had done it as grey and silver was that in the concept art and in-game, this house is supposed to have a "bunker" kinda feel with metal siding and everything being grey or shiny silver. Overall, I like them both, and I do think that in addition to a bunker scheme, this house goes pretty well with most pastel colors.

Cool. I really like that two story house.

Bumping with added city buildings. More are currently being built, as well as the Red Rocket gas station (Fallout 3 Version). Also, I apologize if the links break, these free file hosting sites are a bit iffy, I may just have to add everything as attachments in a series of posts.
