Author Topic: My Computer Rescue Adventure (BSODs)  (Read 503 times)

Blogland time.

So not sure if you guys ever had that problem, but I've been suffering from a mysterious wave of Blue Screens of Death (BSODs) for like, 2 weeks or more, it was really weird, out of nowhere after atleast 1 hour using the computer or less I get a BSOD completely out of the blue, with no warnings or anything, that happened 2 or 3 times per day, but thankfully no files were harmed, so with that strange situation I decided to dive deep and find a solution, I tried a lot of different things, removing and installing new drivers, use the windows 7 CD I have on repair mode to find any problems but it coudn't find any, I searched for malwares, nothing, neither any adwares or spywares, but the solution was like right infront of me.

my computer HD is divided in two, C: for Drivers and Windows, and D: For my files, and since my C: Drive was almost full I got the "genius" idea to install my graphics driver in D: two months ago, ever since I got random BSODs that got way more frequent those past few weeks, so I removed everything related to my graphics driver, and installed a brand new one on C: This morning, and I've been testing my computer the whole day doing different things, hosting a Blockland Server with 20 players in, playing games that were perfomance heavy, playing on a Wii Simulator and open several different videos, those things used to give me BSODs right in the first glance, but today, I didn't get any after the fix I did this morning.

tl:dr, my computer was having BSODs because graphics driver was installed in the wrong place the whole time, if I get another BSOD this whole post was pointless and I still have to find a solution, but I believe that I finally managed to fix this and I'm happy enough to share this experience with you guys, anyway if you have similar adventures fixing up your computer feel free to share, this is a good day.

Oh don't remind me that, I did an "amateur" rank class to fix computers 3 years ago, and we focused alot on sata cables.
