Author Topic: What I've been doing for the past 2 months  (Read 1689 times)

I started out my plumbing apprenticeship a couple months ago, and it's been nothing far from fun.  I learned how to pull a weighted trailer, use several different tools, and learn to run plastic. This is the first job I've found enjoyable... suprisingly.

Here's a video of a slab leak I was working on earlier today.

its nice to see you are back
i can remember faintly of you but i do not know if you hated me or not
welcome back though

Do you greet all people that way?

Do you greet all people that way?
I'm pretty sure it's standard for all people to greet that way down in the states.

nothing far from fun

Let me break it down for you bud.
If something is far from fun, it's going to be less fun. If something is nothing far from fun, then it is not far from fun, in fact it is the opposite.

I'm not sure that's actually a phrase though.

Maybe you're thinking of "nothing short of fun".

well at least you know what i was getting at. that deserves a gold book in my star

if you take out the "from fun", however, you're just left with "nothing far"

if i ask where the closest coffee shop is and you say "there's a starbucks nothing far from my house" i'd probably give you a blank look

What do you do?
i guess that was a bit misleading, i actually don't have a job, i'm at college. but atm i'd probably prefer a job i enjoyed then my current situation. things can turn around though.

hey, don't be ass smart

college
one of the reasons i went into plumbing was because i don't have any money, and college would forgetin break me for 10 years

i mean honestly, you've most likely made a better investment than me in terms of having a sustainable future, lol.

Well a plumbing apprenticeship is upwards of 4 1/2 years my friend.  But when I get my license I'll be making 20-25 an hour
