Author Topic: Please help me with studying  (Read 665 times)

I'm studying for my test tomorrow, and I need help to figure out if this is correct. I don't really have anyone else to help me study with.

(x - 3) (x^2 - 7x + 1)

Can someone tell me what they get for this? I think I have the right answer, but I could be wrong, so just tell me what you get/how you got it

what are you trying to find, the solution, or the zeroes?

what are you trying to find, the solution, or the zeroes?

the answer to life x

It's about the distributive property
I think you first multiply the x in the (x - 3)  by each term in the bigger parenthesis. you also distribute the -3 in the bigger parenthesis. Then you add then all together

tip: x times x^3 = x^4  because when multiplying the same number you add exponents

I'm pretty sure I'm right about that but I could be wrong.  What grade are you in?

I'm freshman, but I'm doing Algebra II

Also, my friend just got online, he's able to help me. Thanks for your help, though!
Thank god, I have three tests tomorrow
