ok guys seriously stfu

if you like media centers, grab osmc. it's like XBMC. you can play your movies, tv shows, music, and photos on it. great software.

more into coding? you should probably grab a copy of raspbian. it has python built in and you can still get software from the debian servers iirc.

if you prefer old games, get piplay. it's a collection of emulators on one OS. useful if you don't want to simply skip through crap over and over. of course, the games have to be legally obtained.

comes with:
Quote
MAME - AdvanceMAME & MAME4ALL
CPS I / CPS II - Final Burn Alpha
Neo Geo - GNGeo
Playstation - pcsx-reARMed
Genesis - DGen
SNES - SNES9x
NES - AdvMESS
Gameboy - Gearboy
Gameboy Advance - GPSP
ScummVM
Atari 2600 - Stella
Cavestory - NXEngine
Commodore 64 - VICE

left - original, right - emu counterpart

there's plenty others out there like fedora, ubuntu MATE, and more.

microsoft is also doing something with arduino and raspberry pi 2.0, so go give that a try if you want

anyways, that's all i have. you'll probably find more on the internet through a rather quick google search.

So you just bought them with no idea what to use them for?
Sounds like a great use of money

It's like I'm back in the days of olde

I understand what Raspberry Pi is, but what is Arduino? Ive heard of it before, and seen some books in the stores about it, but I never understood the concept, and most articles im reading still kinda confuse me.

Throw it in the nearest body of water. Of anyone dies while swimming in it, it was deadly.
But srsly, call the cops.

why would you buy if it you don't know what to use it for

I did know what to use them for but I didn't write that down so I totally forgot. It's an Arduino Uno and Pi 2.0.

I use my RaspberryPi as a ghetto security camera stream.

The last time I used an arduino was for this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z8ygPWORPB0
