osmc. it's like XBMC. you can play your movies, tv shows, music, and photos on it. great software.
more into coding? you should probably grab a copy of
raspbian. it has python built in and you can still get software from the debian servers iirc.
if you prefer old games, get
piplay. it's a collection of emulators on one OS. useful if you don't want to simply skip through crap over and over. of course, the games have to be legally obtained.
