Cannot start a game

Whenever I start a single player or multiplayer game, the game exits to the main menu. The loading will either get to "Loading Datablocks," or "Loading Music," before exiting to the main menu. I should also mention that no Add-ons have been installed recently.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I should also Add that I had to re-portforward today because I have a new internet provider.
I was trying to start a multiplayer game and that's when the above problem started happening.
I tried starting a single player game, but the same thing happened.

port forwarding shouldn't affect it

good chance it's an addon or something causing the issue
can you try with only defaults enabled and see if you can start a singleplayer game? if that doesn't work, try a clean install (no installed addons)
