Hosting a Dedicated server AND playing on it?

Is there a way to host a dedicated server AND play on it? I've heard it isn't possible.

this is more than possible; i have done this pretty much any time i've hosted publicly

edit: actually above doesn't apply if you have steam

guys he must use steam
the way steam dedicated server works is to add arguments to the launch options and it makes it lauch a dedi server
once its open you cant launch the game again because steam things its running already

so no as far as i know theres no way to play on the same PC thats hosting a dedi if its on steam

Calm down holy stuff. On the steam version you can only have one instance of Blockland open at a time, so it's usually either host a dedi and not play, or play and no dedi. Its not a bad assumption to say that playing on a hosted dedi is impossible if you use steam.
