I want an Android phone

hoping some of you might be able to help me make a good decision/verify the validity of the current plan i have

I'm interested in getting a Moto G 3rd Gen phone. If there's a better alternative, I'd like to see one within the $100-$200 range.

also, have any of you had experience with rooting your android phone/installing a custom ROM? I feel like that's something I'd like to do, seeing as I've been hearing that Motorola isn't exactly the best at pushing updates or something.

And if your in that price range the Moto G seems like a great choice.

See if you can get an LG G2. I got mine new for $220, and it's fantastic. Better than a Moto G 3rd gen (my brother and dad have that).

I'm not exactly a fan of the design, really, and I wouldn't want to pay more for something I'd be less comfortable with.

Having owned the Moto G 4G for about half a year until I upgraded to a Galaxy S6 I can say that there probably isn't a single better all-round phone for a low price than the Moto G. I could be wrong though, but I still find it amazing how much you get from a Moto G for it's price

I was looking at the Moto G 3rd Gen specifically the 16gb 2gb RAM and I heard its pretty good phone and theres not a lot better for unlocked phones in that price range

on nexus devices its relatively simpler, theres tons of documentation for it

correct. however if you have a moto g, motorola doesnt tend to put a lot of bloat on their newer moto phones

seriously, in my time using roms its been horrible.
early software but its been "early" the entire way.
