Because it's food from a big well-known fast-food restaurant, which is not typically healthy for you. Soo f course people are going to jump on it when it causes something slightly unusual to happen to you.

You get a similar effect from eating beetroot, which leaves your stool blood red.
But it's perfectly fine to eat.
