Author Topic: What Wii U games should I get?  (Read 1880 times)

Need for speed most wanted for wii u is cool, you get "cheat codes" the other versions don't have.
also: Smash bros U, and New Super Mario Bros U.

Implying legend of zelda is the only good wii u series.
the wii u technically has no series yet

only one game of each IP on the console so far (well the IPs they even made games for)

Smash Bros, Mario Maker and Splatoon may be the only games worth getting that aren't third party. That and a ton of VC games/ Wii games.

the majority of good games on the wii u

if ur not getting smash bros just get rid of ur wiiu....

Alright, now NGC games are out of the way, I want to know what Wii U games you think I should get for Christmas.

Not interested in:
Splatoon
New Super Mario Bros Wii
Super Smash Bros
Legend of Zelda games, any of them

Super Smash Bros
Legend of Zelda games

no but really why don't you want first party games from nintendo
they are all good

watch dogs and assassins creed 3 and 4, they're oldish games now but they they're fun

I mean

it only has so many games as of yet so if you cross out it's best-sellers that are liked almost unanimously by anyone who owns a Wii U it's hard to remedy that

My opinion, i might actually get ssb and new super mario bros u.

Wonderful 101 and Xenoblade X when it does come out.

Yeah there's a ton of good Wii games out there if you can get them for a decent price, the eShop actually does sell a couple of them digitally like Metroid Prime Trilogy. Technically speaking if you really wanted to extend the backwards compatibility, softmodding the Wii mode and playing your GameCube games off an SD card is an pption. The games will have to be those which you own and ripped yourself of course.
watch dogs and assassins creed 3 and 4, they're oldish games now but they they're fun
Oh god not the Wii U port of Watch Dogs. The framerate is extremely low, sometimes lower than 20 when you're driving and around 25 during cutscenes. Better off getting it at any other platform especially when it's more of an average game like Watch Dogs.

MW 2012 didn't really do for me personally, cars feel pretty sluggish compared to the older games and pursuits aren't even as intense and as fun as they used to be. It's okay, but anybody would probably be better off getting the 2005 game imo.

shantae and the pirate's curse
pikmin 3

i'm guessing part of your deal is that you aren't really interested in mostly multiplayer games (i feel like mario kart has good enough AI to be excluded from this)? if that's not the case i would recommend reconsidering SSB4
