this sounds purely philosophical and i'm really uncomfortable somebody make him stop he's going too deep
It is a philosophical point.
It's late and I can't remember all the terminology from my philosophy lectures two years ago, but I think one answer is that while time is infinite, it has a beginning.

We can consider it infinite in the same way that I can add to infinity.
I start at zero, and I keep adding by one. I will go on and on and on, because there's no end to numbers.
But I can still say at any one point that I am at the present, because I can see how far I have come from the beginning (in terms of time, the beginning is the Big Bang). As such, with a constant landmark on this infinite line that is time, I can identify my present in relation to the beginning, even though there is no end.

So, basically, it would suggest that time came into existence at the Big Bang.
There was no time before that.
It's difficult to comprehend of course, because we have no understood concept of there not being time.

Time can be infinite in the future, but not infinite in the past. If we have an infinite past it would be impossible to have a present. Imagine if you had an infinite family line leading up to your birth. You can't have such a thing, because no matter how many children are born, infinite more are necessary for your birth.
You're right, an infinite family line is ridiculous and can't happen. I could guess, though that time alone could technically maybe go into the past forever, but that dips into the gnarly and scary bits of time before and during the big bang that may or may not have existed.

Either way, when I wrote the thing, I was mostly just talking about time going forward forever. Backwards time is scary and hurts to think about too much.

everything that exists existed at a time.
I found a new tongue-twister!
There was now time before the Big Bang, time was created when the Big Bang happened.

Well then, let's say that someone was present when the Big Bang occurred and somehow didn't get incinerated. Immediately when the Big Bang occurs, could they ask themselves, "What was I doing 10 minutes ago?"

time is infinite so i believe that there was a time before the big bang

i mean i don't believe that whatever caused the big bang just spontaneously appeared.

Well then, let's say that someone was present when the Big Bang occurred and somehow didn't get incinerated. Immediately when the Big Bang occurs, could they ask themselves, "What was I doing 10 minutes ago?"
They could ask themselves, but the answer would be "nothing", in the absolutely literal sense, because nothing existed.

Well then, let's say that someone was present when the Big Bang occurred and somehow didn't get incinerated. Immediately when the Big Bang occurs, could they ask themselves, "What was I doing 10 minutes ago?"
That is scientifically impossible because the Big Bang created time itself.

time is infinite so i believe that there was a time before the big bang
Everything that is infinite started somewhere, and that somewhere was the Big Bang

Everything that is infinite started somewhere, and that somewhere was the Big Bang

If there are things that are infinite then they aren't infinite because they had a beginning and didn't always exist.

If there are things that are infinite then they aren't infinite because they had a beginning and didn't always exist.
Let me make a diagram because you aren't being taught this stuff in school.

I guess I'm not going to argue with you anymore. I'm not good at arguing against ad hominem.

I rest my case.

I don't really go too deep in that matter really, I'm christian because I just feel like it personally, I feel that there is a god out there, I also believe in science and some of it's hypotesis, the thing that I'm completely against are the people who are hostile to other people's religions and life styles and I think they are the wrong ones, seriously everyone follows their lives believing or not in things, we should not be hostile to others and poke on them saying their perspective is wrong because "my religion says so" or "there is no such thing as god stop believing in something that I don't believe" or stereotyping every person who follows a certain religion or not with insults, after all, all of us have different perspectives and what we believe or not feels like the right thing to ourselves, there is no such thing as the right and only religion or a science proven fact or anything else that can grant someone the right to tell everyone else that they're wrong, I just wish people could just accept that and move on with their lives instead of hate, insult or even fight with each other for completely useless reasons.

You should become a public speaker

amen
I agree with what Fillipe said, but he's using the word theory wrong in the context of science. A scientific theory explains something that is proven. (I.E. The theory of relativity, the theory of evolution, the theory of a heliocentric solar system) The word I believe he was looking for is hypothesis.
