Apparently my laptop can get the free upgrade, yet it is slow as heck and seems like it wouldn't be able to.

Here are my specs:

Would getting Windows 10 optimize it, or would it just slow it down even more?

I like windows 10. it has a modern feel.

That's one quality toaster

Just upgrade, Windows 10 is worth the jump.

Did you guys even read the topic?
I'm asking if Windows 10 would be too much for my craptop to handle.

There is only one way to find out

If you don't like Windows 10, I believe there is an option to roll back to your previous version within 30 days.

This. It also doesn't take very long.

There's a compatibility checker in that upgrade icon thing, try that first.

I did and it said it would be able to install.

Than there is no problem??

being able to install =/= being able to run it
but yea upgrade, if it doesnt work roll back.

I just got Windows 10 last night

I'm sure it'll run, I'm just afraid it will be more slow than before.

Ironically enough, Windows 10 will probably function better on your laptop. Windows 7 was optimized more for looks while 10 seems to be better optimized for performance.
