they would have worked on 8 just as well

I would have thought that being able to run an OS implies that it doesn't slow you down since, you know, it's supposed to not slow you down

Windows 8/10 are both more well optimized than Windows 7, so you should actually get marginally better performance in theory.

10 overall feels lighter then 7 to me
