Biggest nuisance for me is how saving works in regards to baseplates.
I built a baseplate and built on top of it, but then my friend who was hosting, saved and loaded it later on.
He couldn't edit anything even though we have trust, because I wasn't on the server. So he reloaded it without ownership.
I join and get to building on the baseplate which is now his. Not an issue really.
I started doing some events, including named bricks. These bricks are sat on top of the baseplate belonging to my friend.
He saves with ownership, and shuts down.
He loads the save the next day, and all my bricks now belong to him, because they were on his baseplate.
It's not an issue as far as building goes, but I can no longer event properly, because I can't use those named bricks anymore, as they don't belong to me.
He can still use them, and the names are still the same for him, but as he doesn't know what I was doing in regards to events, it just makes it a nuisance.
Our build is fairly event-heavy, and needs a control room, so there are a lot of named bricks. Which means that he's going to have to learn how to event them because they will become his when he saves/loads, or I'm going to have to re-load all the bricks as mine. Which means he then can't build/edit any of the bricks when I'm not on the server. :/
It would be nice if one of the following was true/available;
- Bricks built on a baseplate won't be loaded under the ownership of the baseplate owner.
- Servers had a means of remembering trust (or an Add-On could do this), so you could edit trusted peoples bricks when they weren't there.
- Trusted players could have access to each others named bricks.
