(bs meaning bullstuff, obviously)
today during spanish class, we were put into groups to work on group projects. I was put into a group with some guy that I don't know, and a spanish/guatemalan/mexican girl. Me and the other guy didn't really know many of the questions on the paper, so she asked us "why aren't you doing any of them??" I told her that we weren't that great at Spanish. She then told us "well, then I don't know what to tell you" so I said "Can't you do them, you're mexican" (Keep in mind, not saying it offensively or as an insult. My school is 30% mexican and all of them speak fluent Spanish, including her.)
I guess she took it offensively (somehow) and told my Spanish teacher I was "discriminating her"
Luckily my spanish teacher doesn't really care about anything besides food so he didn't really give a stuff about it, but I still had to explain to him that I literally didn't do anything wrong.
Was I being offensive? It's not like I called her a border bandit or anything, all I said was that she speaks the language that we're learning already. She probably told like administration or some stuff and just exaggerated it like I loving raped her or something
