"Nevermind that," White responds.

"I watched you guys run through that Doctor's place. starfish guy- I was wondering if you have a vendetta against him or something, perhaps? Respond before the Lord of Flies gets pissed off and starts lynching his own men,"

"Not really.  He has us under his thumb at the moment.  You might say we're 'contracted'."

"I'll watch over you, make sure that the Flies or Doctor doesn't try to harm you. I'll have contact with you, but whether or not you'll be able to communicate with me is up in there air-. Flies sounds annoyed. I'll be watching. Out,"

Daniel shook his head, his brow still furrowed, and still confused about the situation.  He continued walking nonetheless, as the Lord of the Flies continued buzzing in his ear.

Norum continues walking, exiting through the door frame which once contained a door when they first came to visit.

Archie follows behind Norum, fiddling with the slight screeching in his ear

given your rather lengthy and generally stuffty past, I'm going to need time to consider this one.  also, I'm going to give you time to consider a different modification.  it's not much of an "exoskeleton" if it's inside of him, and it's a bit much anyways (an entire exoskeleton that is).
It was originally intended to, really, be an AI that practically controlled him out of sticky situations.
I'll remove the abnormal strength at that, and it'll be more of a neural implant that transfers data to his muscles faster than his brain would (so he has acute reflexes when he's in danger).

Elena gets rid of the windows in front of her, stashing them wherever.

She thinks to herself, "Morgenstern, keep and eye on those guys through security cameras, no police drones,"

Morgenstern beeps in Elena's thoughts in compliance. She puts up a map and location for Elena, if needed.
Elena rises from her spot next to a dumpster in a back alley. She takes a draw on her vaporizer and savors the shot of flavor, then proceeding to make her way towards the three.

She exits the alley, and the din and neon flashiness of the world envelopes her. The alley is messy, with some people here and there trying to sell various wares or produce, and despite all of it, it's bathed in the glittering neon and polluted with advertisements from various corporations.

Elena looks up, up to the mega-highway, mega-towers, and the glittering neon city that is the Salus district. It's a mile or two out, away from the laborers and labryinth of side streets and low income apartments that follow over eachother in the lower class district.

She searches starts playing some music to herself to shorten the walk.

So you just want a brain augmentation that improves reflexes?

As the group gathers up outside of the alleyway and on the main street, which was now empty, save for the unconscious (or possibly worse) bum.  "Looks like everyone's scared off," Daniel remarked.

"So, to the hospital.  We'd better get walking.  How d'you feel, Archie?"

Norum strolls out into the street, hands in his pockets and rocks on his heels while looking to the left and right.  The twilight glow of the sun setting is dwarfed by the glow of the shining monoliths of the Salus District and many zeppelins beaming with neon lights across the river.  From Hadsford, one can just barely hear the advertisements these blimps are playing over the wealthy and what might be called middle class neighborhoods.

Norum steps back casually, keeping his hands in his pockets to let a car pass by.  It honks at him as Norum didn't move out of the street as fast as the driver wanted, to which Norum shrugs and turns around to walk back to the group.  "The hell is the hospital, anyways?"  We're on Kingman Avenue, right?"

More or less, but it still features those embedded "wires" as well as the hand modification.

"I'm alright, Daniel, just hope we know where we're going," Archie chuckles nervously.

An ambulance suddenly speeds by, sirens blazing.  Several bums dive out of the street to let it pass.

"How safe of a bet do we have here?  Should I try to follow it?"

"Yeah, quick.  You won't be as fast as it but you should at least be able to keep it in sight."

Quick bit of info: it is rare to see actual full size vehicles on the street, as most vehicles now use repulsor-lift technology to hover off the ground, and most just travel at a higher altitude than the street itself.  Emergency vehicles will have a tendency to travel on the streets at low altitudes due to the reduced amount of traffic.

Elena watches as the sun decends and its ray's climb up the massive towers in the Salus district. Though the sun is gone, it's rays will climb the tower for the next few minutes. She looks skyward, a few aircraft and zeppelins glitter in the sun at altitude. Morgenstern updates her on the status of the three men, and Elena acknowledges. She's only a mile or so away.
