Quick bit of info: it is rare to see actual full size vehicles on the street, as most vehicles now use repulsor-lift technology to hover off the ground, and most just travel at a higher altitude than the street itself. Emergency vehicles will have a tendency to travel on the streets at low altitudes due to the reduced amount of traffic.
I kind of figured as much. We're in a poorer area of town, so it is quite possible that there's some budget 3
rd party service.
Suddenly, Morgenstern notes that one of the three men have suddenly taken off, separating from the group at higher than average speed.
Norum begins by chasing the ambulance at a fast pace. Due to the crowded streets, the ambulance is slowed. Due to the wake that the vehicle cleared, Norum begins to gain on it as it slows down to a particularly crowded section of the road. As it honks its horns at the people, now quite alarmed and clamoring to get out of the way, Norum darts into an alleyway and uses a variety of balconies, walls, and trash bins to get atop of the buildings in order to get a better view, holding his hat tightly so it would not slip off his head.
He then continues at a fast walking pace, both keeping an eye on the ambulance and taking moments to look out for the hospital.
Norum finds himself only three blocks from the East River when the ambulance wings a sharp left after it gets through the throng. As he looks in the direction of its bearing, he sees it headed towards a light gray building with a big
+ on the side just a few blocks from the East Benton Bridge.
