14 years is a long time... Especially for something that killed just under 3,000 people

You're literally 14

Really nice build, maybe sink the lake into the ground, looks kind of weird.
151,600 people die every day. 774 676 000 people have died since 9/11. Stop making such a big deal out of 3000.

If you are talking about me, I lost uncle, and almost lost my life. Its not like I just know that it happened, and that it was bad. Its that I was only a few blocks down from it, and I almost lost my life. I don't expect anybody to look at it the way I do, but I might expect badspot not to post a loving 9/11 meme...

if someone stole 15,000 dollars worth of stuff from your house and i said to you "yeah well hundreds of millions of dollars are traded on the stock market every day", your response wouldn't be "yeah i guess you're right, it's no big deal".

death is relative by volume. 100,000 people dying of heart disease over a year is not equatable to 3,000 people dying in their offices over the span of hours.

hell my granpda's death is dust in the wind statistically but that stuff still matters to me, so just multiply that 3,000 times and you can see why it can still be a touchy subject

Just feels wrong to think those deaths are extra special compared to the others for some reason. Sounds really selfish to me.

they're not really tho- off the top of your head, can you name someone who died during the september attack?

hijacking commercial jetlines to crash into one of new york's landmarks changed the forgetin world, and i know it sounds americentric to say that but it really did.

dragonoid already told why 9/11 matters more to him, so i think the only selfish thing here is you assuming because you're not effected by something, it doesn't matter.

What makes joking about 9/11 different from joking about other causes of death? Either broaden your point to it being bad to joke about death at all (which is stupid as humor is one of the best coping mechanisms) or stop being bothered by 1 cause in particular. I totally agree it matters but it doesn't matter more than anyone else's death. It matters because death matters, not because death specific to terrorist attacks matters more for some reason.

I just have one question:

Why is 9/11 still relevant today?
