Citizens of first world countries aged 16-24 and plan on going to/in college, I got some questions.

The ones that plan on going to college:
Got any ideas on what to major in?
Why'd you pick it?
You READY?

The ones that are in college:
What's your major? Minor?
What career do you want to have when you graduate?
Did ACT/SAT scores really matter that much?
How are you enjoying it?
Why did you decide to go into that field?
bachelors or masters?

basically these questions are the results of lots of general anxiety for the future and having to go to college. Surely if some people on blockland forums can do it...

I'm sure there's at least THREE people who are in college/plan to go to college.

i guess this also applies to people who already graduated??

I plan on going to college.

I'm probably going to try and major in either Computer Science or IT.
I'm going to aim for those because I really want to get a job in networking, working on servers and all that.
Do I think I'm ready? Heck no, not at all. I still have much to learn.

Education is for the weak.

i'm too poor and too stupid to go to college

What's your major? Minor?
Environmental Engineering, Hydrology

What career do you want to have when you graduate?
I have a job as an engineering technician lined up for me as soon as a graduate. I'll be doing a lot of field work until I advance my career.

Did ACT/SAT scores really matter that much?
Not at all. I didn't take either of them.

How are you enjoying it?
It's great as long as you keep up with your work. Be social and go to a few parties. Having too much work to do is not an excuse to not have a good time in college.

Why did you decide to go into that field?
Honestly, money

bachelors or masters?
Bachelors

Astrophysics or one of the various fields of engineering (preferably something with space, or maybe civil engineering).
Those topics are incredibly interesting to me, and I want to be able to help progress those fields as best I can. Also, the former is undergoing a scientific boom (to my understanding) while the latter is almost always required for a functioning and efficient society.
Absolutely not.

EDIT: Oh shoot, I just noticed that the thread is asking for people aged 16-24. In that case, check back with me in three months.

That explains a lot

What's your major? Minor?
Computer Information Systems

What career do you want to have when you graduate?
Something in IT/IS.

Did ACT/SAT scores really matter that much?
Not to get into ASU, but they matter a bit for scholarships and to get into Honors Colleges and the like.

How are you enjoying it?
Its better than high school, but being completely out on your own can be a bit daunting at times.

Why did you decide to go into that field?
Computers are cool and there's money in knowing about technology and how it effects business.

bachelors or masters?
Bachelors for now.

Honestly man, do it. College is pretty much required unless you specialize in something like welding or high skill industrial jobs.

physics
because it's interesting
possibly, i think i can do it
bachelors/masters was a question for people in college, but i'm shooting for a PhD :P

Got any ideas on what to major in? Architectural studies

Why'd you pick it? At first, the money.  Then I started to really enjoy designing buildings.

You READY?  Not sure yet.

What's your major? Minor?
Right now im a fine arts major

What career do you want to have when you graduate?
something that i enjoy that is art based (literally or conceptually), or a fun steady job that doesn't make me want to jump off a bridge, so i have the energy to do art in my spare time

Did ACT/SAT scores really matter that much?
for me, i got a pretty damn good ACT score, but i had mediocre grades in high school, so in my case it did help me quite a bit. it's only a CSU, but even still.

How are you enjoying it?
it's much more flexible and honestly less time consuming than high school, so i like that part. leaving all your friends behind is really stuff though, and especially for a shy dude like me it's hard to start from scratch. but it beats workin at subway

Why did you decide to go into that field?
cus i love it

and probably BA, maybe masters but if so i'd do it at a different college

I've thought a lot about Veterinary Medicine/Zoology
