mondays and immigrants both commit illegal acts soooo

you're incorrect

you're incorrect
I know what it means, I never said it didn't mean that. That doesn't make it non-derogatory.

another one for the "easily offended" list

Caling people "illegals" is definitely dehumanizing. It's like saying "blacks" or "gays", it just sounds loving weird. Illegal immigrant is fine though.

But yeah none of it is on par with the n word

illegals is not at all de-humanizing. illegal immigrants are living in the country illegally. so, the word

hispanics dont even find this offensive so why do you people care lol

we have a football team called the redskins

i think worrying about the nomenclature we reserve for criminals is the least of our problems.

i think words are just words, man.

The N-bomb is a slur tied to an ethnicity.

"Illegal immigrant" is not specific to any ethnicity or nationality.

It's like comparing apples to oranges.

they both hang from trees :^)

i don't think it's on-par but it depends on the context

the term itself isn't offensive, but it can certainly be dehumanizing if used that way

I don't think it's anywhere near as offensive. Nor do I particularly care if the name offends someone illegaly in my country.

But I wouldn't use the term 'illegals' to describe someone, because it sounds really American.

'monday' is a racial slur said (nowadays at least) with the intent to offend someone.

illegal immigrant is a status.
