Just apply for a computer tech job with some demonstrable skills, perhaps while working on a major towards an IT/Comp Sci field that's actually good
An A+ cert may help. Take an A+ prep class if you really want

Certifications arent college degrees, but they prove that you have knowledge in the Certifications Field, like Digital Forensics, A+, Networking, etc. Theyre a good thing to have to improve your job aspects in the IT field

You'd be surprised. I made $90 just fixing a laptop (not counting all the other times I fixed it)

there's not a real market for computer repair. especially not for building new ones. the few old people who'd ask you to fix their computer aren't gonna make you a living

you're still a teenager with presumably not a lot of responsibilities, and plenty of free time
try programming. maybe it'll turn out to be your thing. if not, you still didn't lose anything from trying
if you're just really into... tech support stuff... I guess you could look at some IT positions? like, server farms need people to manage the servers. etc.

i've never been good with programming. i lose memory of the syntax within hours, but can somehow read other people's code

computer engineering

it's like electrical engineering + computer science. it has less of a focus on software and more on hardware. not only will you understand what each and every component in a PC does, but you'll learn how to engineer new ones

but my gpa is stuff and my act/sat scores will probably be less than the minimum requirements for the college i plan on going to (needed sat score of 1000)
