There's not a single reaction in the human body that's exothermic enough to light you on fire. What's far more likely is that the forensics experts are somewhat limited in how they can determine the cause of fires. Fire/arson investigation is actually pretty entrenched in a bunch of non-scientific practices that don't accurately explain how a fire started.
