Dunno how I feel about this
Guess I'll look for a fast food job in a couple summers instead of something that could help me in the future

by 2018 that should be the minimum wage
inflation is a thing you know

for real tho 15 should be the standard
maybe 8 could still be the standard for people working that are under 18

Nooo
Like you said, there would be inflation and a lot of companies will go bankrupt.

the value of a dollar falls
bread costs like 3 dollars a loaf
it used to cost 50 cents
when you go from spending 80 dollars a week on groceries to 100, your paycheck needs to go up
everything needs to go up

we were just joking around and i already stopped but you can be unnecessarily rude and derail the thread more if you want

this doesn't mean companies go bankrupt
this was ford's (i think) strategy when he started his company - pay his employees almost triple normal wage, and get the best of the best. productivity and innovation skyrocketed.
likewise, In-N-Out (a fast food chain in the southwest US). they pay their employees a lot, and they work really hard to maintain a clean place and produce lots of tasty burgers. the company is doing really well, while places like McDonalds (which pay like minimum wage and only charge a little bit less for their burgers) are generally disliked

I'm torn because of myself. Bought to go on a generic rant right now

Because it pisses me off when I do work hard full time at a lumber yard out in the heat and in the freezing cold making $10/hr while a fast food worker is making a $15/hr

Now obviously I think people discredit fast food workers and I do think its a fast paced/on your feet job depending on where you work

BUT for the most part (excluding students and such) the people I know who work at fast food places are extremely lazy, unmotivated, heroin addicts (not kidding) who have no desire to actually improve their current position and cry that, because they are lazy and unmotivated, arent making enough to live

Its different if you have an actual reason why you cant get a better job or even move up in a fast food place to a manager position or set yourself up for something. I know a man who works at a convenience store because he lost his legs and one arm and probably cant find anything else.

But if your lazy and unmotivated it pisses me off when you cry for $15/hr. And theres so many washed up losers that cry about $15/hr and theyre so uneducated that they just cry for this raised minimum wage

Like I said I'm torn
