Author Topic: I feel like I'm the only one who doesn't care about Undertale  (Read 2167 times)

it's really boring lol

i played it and it isn't very good
no idea why people think it's the game of the year or whatever, it's super short, most graphics (especially the player character) are extremely low quality and 60% of the gameplay time is dialogue, of which 10% is relevant to the plot and the other 90% is spaghetti jokes, some obnoxious character constantly calling you, and LOTS OF MEMES

tl;dr:

I'm sick of hearing about this 'meh' game.

-snip- I wanted to post an opinion here but most people on the topic seem like they would not prefer that.

it's mostly an atmospheric kind of game.  also consider that it was made mostly by just one richardhead

the overworld graphics are low quality on purpose (mostly): to give the autistic player's fantacy some room, and also contrast the animated battle graphics and detailed shop graphics.  plus, one run of the game takes 5 to 8 hours, and there's 2 or 3 playthroughs with different endings.

dumb dialogue and Obnoxious starfish aside, there's a good amount of interactivity and pretty well written lore in the game, not to mention your actions actually having some impact on the story.

i like it but i completely see what you're miffed about

(also there's an option to Riddler the forget out, which gives you some cool bosses and skips pretty much all the annoying dialog)

Quite silly to think that you're the only one that feels different about something. Undertale is a good game, but it isn't as much of a masterpiece  as some people make it to be. It's like-
Its like people are so hungry for new and amusing game ideas that anything that breaks the mold instantly gets its own mass fandom.
Took the words out of my mouth.

the memes are trash, 0/10

I enjoy it but the fans make me cringe hard a lot of the time

this is the exact reason i avoid fanbases in general

congratulations

a new thread was totally necessary
system has two choices here. go into the undertake thread and get accused of flaming (see: "why would you go into the thread where everyone likes the thing" in fallout thread) or make a new topic and be told it should go in the existing thread. he has chosen the latter

this is the exact reason i avoid fanbases in general
the thing is I think it's the friendliest fandom I've ever been a part of but I feel as Jackspticye (????) Markiplier, and others start to play it its gonna get worse a couple times over

I visit the steam community hub sometime's and discuss about the game. I even find out new secret's sometime's.
P.S. They already had weeks ago.

yeah that's why I was pointing them out

I like the story for the most part but Spoiler: the pacifist ending felt somewhat underwhelming and cliche. Don't get me wrong, it was sad but I feel like there could have been more to it, especially with the depth put into everything else. It just wasn't that memorable for me.

I still listen to the soundtrack a month after initially playing the game though

it's mostly an atmospheric kind of game.

not really an excuse to be boring (to me, at least)

also consider that it was made mostly by just one richardhead

so was cave story

lol

to give the autistic player's fantacy some room

lol

fair enough, but the game still isn't really worth the price tag imo

yeah i like this aspect a lot, along with the soundtrack & the battle system

(also there's an option to Riddler the forget out, which gives you some cool bosses and skips pretty much all the annoying dialog)

i was going to do this but i spared papyrus because i like skeletons

If there are multiple enemie's onscreen, There is a chance that they can combine multiple bullet pattern's together.
Boss Battle's are nice, some battle's even change the gameplay aspect's entirely.
