Which program should I trust? Multiple programs are telling me different readings.
open hardware monitor for the temperatures
furmark for the cpu burn in

I tried this program already, it didn't detect my CPU.

if your temperature is going over 90 it will hurt it and you need to stop the test or shut it down

Personally, i've found CoreTemp to be fairly straight to the point and accurate.
if your temperature is going over 90 it will hurt it and you need to stop the test or shut it down
different CPU's tend to have different temperature ceilings, but yeah, over 90C is typically bad

because I was taught how to use the imperial system in grade school, that's why.

so did i and everyone else in america, and yet we still measure our computer temperatures in Celsius
you're not a special snowflake, put it in Celsius. 

it's not that hard to convert it back and forth, geez

i wasn't aware how important it was to measure computer temperatures in celsius
