Author Topic: Steam Escrow - new steam trading feature that could kill bot trading  (Read 10643 times)

how many trading things do we need?
if you're stupid enough to get scammed, or don't overlook the items & their value, it's your damn fault.
the steam verify through email was enough, and people were bitching at that.

email verification was hated because it was garbage
here's every email i've had from steam for verification

i have about three devices

i never get emails like that and i have like, 15 devices/OS installations i've signed in on before
you must be doing something wrong

excuse them for protecting your stuff anyways

Valve will likely remove this. They usually do remove stuff the community dislikes

the old petition got deleted
valve might have done it
they're loving starfishs

BIG NEWS
you can get a free android emulator and textnow (internet phone thingy) and get your account on it quick.
Jessecar (Scrap.TF Owner) is working on a way to get the authentication from a pc as well

no steam, i'm not giving my account two-factor auth just for a discount

not sure where to put this so i put it here since it relates to the mobile authenticator and trading-related features

The sooner this feature is implemented, the better.

To hell with all the ridiculous bot stuff out there.

Yeah, who even needs to trade for items when they want them anyway? Let us just trust the community to not scam us*!

*Not saying that bots are trustworthy, but you are more likely to get scammed by a player than a bot that's set up to only trade specific items

Oh yeah, and there's still the fact that not everyone has a phone or a mobile OS emulator that will allow them to accept trades

Started using mobile authenticate. I like it far more than the email system. It actually sends me a push notification on my phone with the security code whenever I log into a new device. Waaaay easier and convenient.

Yeah this is WAY better than having to go on Gmail everytime steam wants to authenticate stuff.

im sick and tired of having to put in the authentication code every time i log into on my own computer which already saves my credentials (when i log out so i can use my friends steam account for certain reasons)
