Author Topic: help me pick a new laptop  (Read 969 times)

i know nothing about this stuff

i want something that can
  • run games like overwatch, LoL, tf2, HotS with good (60+ fps)
  • wireless connection
  • win10
  • pretty mobile (can take to class/etc.)
  • doesn't suck
  • not touchscreen (ignore pic)

these are pretty much my standards also i can't unbold

was looking at this

cost isn't really a factor but i'd prefer if it was under $1k

step one: dont buy HP
this and i dont reccomend getting a touchscreen one, if you want power, stay away from touchscreens.

if i can't run overwatch i don't want it

also i don't really want a touchscreen one

for starters, make sure it has a dedicated graphics card

Lenovo Y50, thing's a beast. I can run Fallout 4 on maxed out settings and max shaders on any server on Blockland with it. I bought the 4K resolution model for $1700 but you can get the regular model with the same specs as mine for around $1200 if you don't want to spend that much.
