Has anyone actually tested and proved a statistically significant increase in latency as a direct result of using this add-on? Or is it just "I want a valid reason to hate this"
It rotates every second because that's all the update avatar serverCmd allowsIt looks bad and tacky, yeah, but If you need an add-on to kick people for it you're probably the type of person who gets annoyed at everything.Has anyone actually tested and proved a statistically significant increase in latency as a direct result of using this add-on? Or is it just "I want a valid reason to hate this"Because I don't imagine that an avatar update once a second (or even more) is even remotely comparable in resource usage to what's needed to run the rest of the game.
I don't ban people for it, but I certainly do target them in DMs.
It does not lag servers unless your server is a $10 grandma email checker.
So then according to your own measurement method, it doesn't lag the server. Because if the server was lagging, everyone would have higher pings. That's also not a well designed experiment, it leaves to much room for other variables
im saying that using it in competitive games gives you a disadvantage because you have a higher latency.
If it even is the cause of the higher latency. It's very implausible that a single request per second can cause any noticeable affect on latency, when you're already making tons of requests every second to continuously update your (and receive other players) positions, aim direction, every possible action you perform, etc
I'd say that I found a decent avatar that looks good with funky shirt type mods...http://g.recordit.co/hohkU16t0P.gif
